DroidID turns your Android into a fingerprint for macOS

Say what you like, and fingerprint scanners - a very handy thing. After you enter the password manually each time you unlock the device much faster than simply touching a finger to the sensor.
More or less the new MacBook (starting with versions in 2016) are equipped with sensors prints Touch IDBuilt into the power button. However, older models, and iMac, Mac mini and Mac Pro are deprived of such a function.
DroidID application allows you to use as a makeshift fingerprint scanner for Mac your smartphone Android. Simply touch the sensor, and Mac is released automatically, without the need to type the password on the keyboard. It's pretty convenient.
To install DroidID, you will need:
- Mac running OS El Capitan (macOS 10.12) or higher.
- Smartphone with a fingerprint sensor and the Android operating system 7 or higher.
- At least one fingerprint is made to the Android settings.
Download and install DroidID on Mac, then download the version for Android. Open the app on a smartphone, and it will give you a special code.
Enter the code and unlock your password in the Mac client DroidID on MacOS. Do not worry about the security of your password - it will be stored in a standard "Keychain» macOS.
The application will ask to connect to the "Keychain" and "universal access" - in both cases it should be resolved.
Now, when you turn on or wake up the Mac, and it will prompt you for password- open DroidID smartphone and touch the sensor with your finger. Mac is released automatically.
