BlackBerry will release its Messenger for iOS and Android

BlackBerry announced the imminent expansion of its platform BlackBerry Messenger (BBM) on iOS and Android. BBM was one of the first proprietary messengers - similar to Apple iMessage - and still remains incredibly popular in some countries.
The company reports a 60 million active users of the service in a month, which send up to 10 billion messages per day. For comparison, in January, Apple announced that iMessage users send 2 billion messages per day.
In the era of SMS and ICQ messenger BBM set a new high standard for instant messaging with additional user engagement levels thanks to the delivery status and reading messages.
In the first version of the multiplatform BBM users iOS and Android, among others, will have the following features: multi-user chat, sending voice memos and BlackBerry Groups, support for groups up to 30 people, in which users can share calendars, photos, files and etc.
