IPad Air - sales for the first weekend is higher than ever

Fiksu, a company specializing in market research, published data an increase in the percentage of iPad Air on the number of currently active iPad. Although, iPad Air sales seem insignificant compared to the total number of iPad sales, the chart shows that the proportion of iPad Air is growing at a rate of five (!) times greater than that of the fourth-generation iPad, or iPad Mini in their early days sales.
The figures show that in just three days iPad Air reached the level of 0.37% of all functioning iPad. For comparison, on the third day 4 iPad sales reached only 0.15%. iPad mini a bit ahead of him, being at around 0.21%. Speaking in absolute terms, the earlier, analysts predicted that in the first weekend Apple could sell 2.5-3.5 million iPad Air. And apparently, she did it.
Time will tell whether these figures to rise further, or such results are conditioned pent-up demand for a new and long-awaited device. Probably, the reason could also be that many who already have the first two generations of iPad, does not rush to upgrade, because they do not see any major changes in the iPad 4 and iPad mini. iPad Air is different from its predecessors is much stronger, so update it seems logical to many users and profitable.
