Reading on the couch. Save all you want in a suitable format
Technologies / / December 19, 2019
I do not know about you, but I often found myself thinking that the text I'm reading, sitting in front of the monitor, I'd much rather read lying on the couch with "electronic ink" in the hands. But so far I have not met solutions that could close this need. Because I came to myself a workaround, which gladly tell you.
The first phase - collecting
For me, it was immediately obvious that it is best suited for the collection of Evernote - simply save it, and it does not matter on which you have kept your car contents. All the individual notes and then I put the notebook in the Reader, that there is no pile-mala.
The second stage - the conversion
On arrival home and the mood (usually - it the mood) I "print" all the notes of this notebook on the PDF-printer. I myself use PDFCreator, but you can use any. I save in a special folder, assigned to me for all the "electronic books." There also I write all the books that came from other sources.
The third phase - Timing
For her, I have been using SyncToy and Task Scheduler tool that is configured to trigger on event command, which in this case, as you know, is to connect the "book" to your computer. For more information on synchronization (and not only) of the event, you can read in another article.
synchro pair configured to provide it timingThat is, when you delete a file from the book, and he lost in a folder and vice versa - if I do something "hooked" on the side - the folder on your computer immediately replenished.
The method is not spared from manual work, but in my case it is reduced only to the need to print notes and remove them to avoid duplication. If I am, this process begins to tire, I'll think about how to automate this area.
In the meantime, I easily collect text from almost any source, convert it to read in on your Sony Reader, and write down everything, without any special effort and without installing any additional software. All of the above, I use constantly.
I hope you useful advice and happy to answer possible questions.
