3 recipes with tangerines: chutney, hot lemonade and tangerines in chocolate

One of the few pleasures among fruit assortment on the shelves in the winter are the mandarins. Tuck into a sweet citrus themselves - a real pleasure, but for those who crave variety, we have prepared three interesting recipe of tangerines in the title role.
Tangerine chutney
The cold weather does not mean the end of cooking a variety of workpieces, and chutney - a direct confirmation. A jar of seasoning will serve any good service meat eatersAs it is suitable for dishes from beef, pork and poultry.
Ingredients:
- 2 mandarin;
- 1 lemon;
- ⅔ cup (160 ml) of wine vinegar;
- 1 onion;
- 2 garlic cloves;
- a handful of dates;
- 2 cm root ginger;
- ½ teaspoon ground coriander;
- ½ teaspoon chili flakes;
- ½ tsp grain mustard;
- 1 teaspoon salt;
- 2-3 laurel leaf.
preparation
Grate the zest of citrus. Separate the slices of mandarin and lemon peel, trying to get rid of white flesh, as it can taste bitter in the final seasoning.
Finely chop the onion and the pulp of dates. Garlic pass through the press, and ginger rub. Put all the prepared ingredients in a saucepan together with the spices, add the vinegar and sugar and put on a small fire.
Cook the chutney should be long, as long as all components are not seethe until the consistency of mashed potatoes, in our case, it will take 40 minutes.
After Transfer chutney in a small jar, cover with its lid (but not tighten!) And put sterilized in a water bath for 10 minutes.
Tighten the cap and cool the cans before being put into the refrigerator. Leave chutney sit for a month.
Hot tangerine lemonade
The second place in the list of drinks to help keep warm, mulled wine takes (on the ground, of course, tea). We offer an alternative in the form of hot citrus juice mixture with spices, honey and alcohol. The latter, of course, add at will.
Ingredients:
- 3 mandarin;
- 1 lemon;
- 1 orange;
- 1 cinnamon stick;
- 2 anise;
- honey to taste;
- 400 ml of water;
- 40 ml rum or whiskey.
preparation
Squeeze the maximum juice from all citrus fruits, avoiding the pulp and seeds. Mix juice with water and spices, and then place it on a medium heat and simmer for 5 minutes after boiling.
Ready drink sweeten with honey to taste, let cool slightly and pour the alcohol.
Serve with a slice of orange, spices or grains of pomegranate.
Mandarins in chocolate
Last recipe is absurdly simple but surprisingly tasty. It will fit in as a treat at a time when it is impossible, but very desirable, or as a quick and cute addition to a glass of vermouth, wine or champagne.
Ingredients:
- bitter chocolate;
- tangerines;
- coconut, nuts, sugar sprinkling and stuff to choose from.
preparation
Divide peeled tangerines into segments. Melt the chocolate in the microwave or in a water bath. Dip half of tangerine in chocolate, place on a sheet of parchment and decorate to your liking. Allow the chocolate to harden in the freezer for several minutes.
