USB 4.0 interface is presented on the basis of Thunderbolt 3

Organization USB Implementers Forum presented the final version of the USB 4.0 standard. This interface is based on Thunderbolt 3 and allows simultaneous data transfer, charging and display images on the screen.

Officially, the new standard is called USB4, it is without a space, in contrast to the previous USB 3. Its main advantage was the higher bandwidth - up to 40 Gbit / s, which is twice more than the latest version of USB 3.2, and 8 times more than the original USB 3.0.

Also among the important advantages mentioned backward compatible with USB 3.1 and USB 2.0, and is also fully compatible with devices and cables Thunderbolt 3. With the transition to USB4 problem of finding a suitable conductor will come to naught, because it combines all relevant standards together.

USB4 third advantage lies in an improved separation of data and video - USB4 solves the problem of reducing the bandwidth when performing concurrent tasks.
