Apple stops supporting AIM-accounts in Messages on your Mac

For many years the messages in OS X (formerly iChat) supported the work of outdated AIM protocol accounts mac.com and me.com. On Monday, as expected, Apple discontinued support for these accounts in the message to the OS X Lion 10.7.1 or earlier.
Now, however, it becomes clear that the company is actually gradually and without warning reduces support for AIM, regardless of the version of OS X.
That's what says about Brian Wolfe from AppAdvice:
Apple first mentioned it in one of the Knowledge Base articles published in April. The article was edited in June and it appeared, that support will be terminated on 30 June. However, the company did not mention that it will apply to all users.
The document in question is really about iChat functionality (including text messages on AIM protocol, and video chat feature sheringa screen), which will not be available after June 30, when users use the accounts with addresses mac.com and me.com on OS X 10.7.1 and more early.
The latest version of this document, dated June 4, Apple encourages users to upgrade to OS X Mavericks, to continue using their accounts with AIM-mac.com and me.com.
Users who do not wish to be updated, the company proposes to establish a standard AIM-account through the AOL.com site and use it with the message.
Before you upgrade, you can check Does your Mac OS X Mavericks.
Jobs Post c mac.com and me.com accounts was tested in OS X Mavericks, and Yosemite. The conclusion is clear - they do not work. Wolf acknowledges that his colleagues from AppAdvice observed the same problem.
Jabber, Google Talk and standard accounts created through AOL.com, these changes do not affect. We turned to Apple and will update this story if they respond.
The OS X Yosemite, which will be released in the fall, will feature screen sheringa available directly from the message and will be needed for her iMessage-only account.
Previously, in order to use this feature in iChat, it was necessary to add an account Google Talk or AIM, as one iMessage is not working.
