REVIEW: Eat & Run, Scott Jurek - best about ultramarathon and vegetarianism

Scott Jurek's book "Eat and Run» (Eat & Run) came to me no accident. After reading "born to run", In which the runner is one of the main characters, I was interested in his career and began to dig amazon.com. I dug up this book. It is said that to me personally very sympathetic to the long run. Yes, I'm not ready physically for jogs over 20... 30 km, but the dream of a marathon, ultramarathon. Why? I like to be alone, but the modern world and my business it does not allow it. I like to think, but surrounded by gadgets and people with gadgets, I was almost not able to disconnect. I like meditation, though I am not able to do that. And I love the sport, but just despise team sports because you can not guarantee 100% winning, even if they could have fulfilled all of 200%. And so it happened that in the race all came together! I did dig what pushes people obsessed with running, most of which are turretless ultramarafontsy - those who run any great distance marathon - ≈42km.
It should say that I'm a big fan of experimenting with food. Only thanks Dukan Diet I lost 8 kg in a week and has kept the weight with ease. By eliminating sweets, processed foods and animal fats and meat (most likely temporary, but as long as it is an experience), I I continue to lose weight: 85... 77... 75... 72 today, and perhaps cherished 68 kg, which is most effective for me and selected my sport.
In the book Eat & Run converged all together and from that I am delighted with it!
Book - not that other, as the story of the legendary ultramarafontsa Scott Jurek about themselves. Childhood, a former military dad, mom sick "Alzheimer's", the first athletics, the first 50 km, the first victory in the crazy distances Badwater, Western States 100, Leadville Trail 100, Spartathlon and many others. Here Scott speculates about why he runs, why has spent 25 years of his life to the unpopular and entertaining ultramarathon, rather than something more popular and money.
Also in the book, there are two types of frames. First - tips, which it shares with Scott runners, book readers (here's one of them in our translation). Believe me, just for them is to buy this book.
The second type of frames - vegetarian recipes Scott. It turned out that he really says a lot about nutrition and how he became a staunch vegetarian. Interested in his stories he was injured or lost a race, thinking about why it happened, and always treated with nutritional problems in the first place. Thanks to him, you know exactly what food (if not vegetarian) - most importantly, where we should start. And when you divided the recipes (very detailed) man ran so much, so successfully and effectively... as it is generally possible to miss?
Highly recommended reading for people who are already running. For those looking for more, but can not find it. For those looking for a story of the great athlete and interested in what motivates these ultralyudmi.
