Chris McCormack (or better known as the Makkah) - stands on top of the pantheon of "gods" of the modern triathlon. This is a unique athlete who tells in this wonderful book about his life - not just about the sport, but also the family.

The author tells how this sport started and where it is going today with the professional point of view. It is interesting to see how they live professional athletes who spend 3/4 life traveling and training. Especially interesting for me was to learn the hardest Ironman superstar attitude to doping and banned drugs - because we are totally about it do not know anything!
And the book is just full of advice of professional triathletes - about preparation, mental preparation, nutrition and much more.
About layfhakinge
Chris - a real layfhaker! He has a lot of attention in the book focuses on "mind games" - personal McKee system that allowed him to win those he physically could not overcome. Mack master public speaking, controlled scandals and demoralize opponents. All this because you can use in real life, believe me ...
About pain
Triathlon, as well as any professional sport, this test is pain. Mack often speaks about the pain, about how to take it, how to talk to her, and what kind of relationship should be with her, especially if you have to endure it more than 8 hours of full Ironman race.
By the way, Mack claims that he never received serious injuries. Many novice runners (there are many among the readers of this blog too) complain of pain and injury. Makormak thinks it from unnecessary over-training and self-deception.
If at least one of the themes of the book you are interested in, then read it. I went to it in the same breath. Not often you can directly get the thoughts and memories of the stars of this level!
