Recipes for Runners: homemade granola

Granola - a mixture of oat flakes with nuts and honey baked till crisp state. Today we offer you five delicious homemade versions of its preparation!
Recipe № 1
Ingredients:
- 2 ½ cup conventional oat flakes (not Fast Food);
- 1 cup almond;
- 1/3 cup sugar syrup or honey;
- 1/2 cup brown sugar;
- 1/2 teaspoon salt;
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil;
- 1/2 tsp of vanilla extract, vanillin or pinch;
- 1/8 teaspoons almond extract (optional);
- The dried cherries 2/3 cup (cranberries, strawberries);
- 1/2 cup of chopped chocolate.
Preparation. Preheat oven to 160 degrees Celsius and ready for baking with the baking paper.
In a small saucepan, mix the syrup or honey, sugar, salt and vegetable oil. Put the pan on low heat and carefully stir until sugar is dissolved. Then remove from heat and add vanilla or vanilla extract.
In a food processor shell out 1/2 cup of oatmeal and ground them into flour. Added along with the remaining flakes, almonds and dried fruit in a saucepan with the sugar mixture. Wetting hands with water and everything is well mixed.
Spread on baking sheet, lightly press down hands and bake for 25-30 minutes. Ready-made granola is broken into pieces and refrigerate. Kept a homemade breakfast in an airtight container for about two weeks.
Recipe № 2
Ingredients:
- 2 cups oatmeal;
- 1 ½ cup sliced almonds;
- 1/4 cup cocoa powder without sugar;
- 3/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon;
- 1 teaspoon instant coffee;
- 1/2 teaspoon salt;
- 1/3 cup honey;
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract or vanillin;
- 1 ¼ cup unsweetened coconut flakes;
- 3/4 cup chocolate chips.
Preparation. Preheat oven to 160 degrees and ready baking the laid baking paper. Mix in a bowl of oatmeal, almonds, cocoa, cinnamon, coffee, salt and vanilla extract (or vanilla) and pour it on top of all honey. Again, everything is well mixed and spread on a baking sheet with a thin layer.
Sending in the oven and bake for 10 minutes. Then again, all mixing paddles and bake for another 10 minutes. Add to coconut flakes and send back into the oven just for a moment, since coconut is burnt very quickly.
Ready-made granola is broken into pieces, cooled and added chocolate chips. Store in the refrigerator in an airtight container.
Recipe № 3
Ingredients:
- 4 cups of simple oatmeal (not quick cooking);
- 1 cup almond pieces;
- 1/2 cup coconut;
- 1/4 cup pumpkin seeds or sunflower seeds;
- 1/2 cup sugar syrup, Agave syrup or honey;
- 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil;
- 1/2 teaspoon salt;
- 1 cup of dried fruit (cherries, cranberries, raisins, strawberries).
Preparation. Preheat oven to 160 degrees and ready baking the laid baking paper. In a separate bowl, mix the dry ingredients except berries and add honey or syrup.
Again, everything is well mixed, spread evenly on a baking sheet and send in the oven for 25-30 minutes. Ready-made granola is broken into pieces, add dried berries and again all is well stirred.
Recipe № 4
Ingredients:
- 4 cups plain oatmeal (not quick cooking);
- 1 cup almond flakes;
- 1 cup almond;
- 1/2 cup coconut;
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon;
- 1/2 teaspoon salt;
- 3 tablespoons butter;
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil;
- 1/4 cup honey;
- 1/2 cup brown sugar or simple;
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract, vanillin or pinch.
Preparation. Preheat oven to 160 degrees and ready for baking pan.
Mix in a bowl of oatmeal, almond flakes and almonds, salt, cinnamon and coconut. In a separate saucepan, melt together the butter, vegetable oil, honey and sugar. When the sugar is completely dissolved and the mixture begins to boil, remove the pan from the heat and once again all thoroughly.
Warm the mixture is poured into a bowl with the dry ingredients and mix thoroughly. Spread on a baking sheet and evenly sending bake for 25-30 minutes. During this time, you will need several times to mix granola.
Ready-made granola removing from the oven, cooled and stirred again. Store in the refrigerator in an airtight container for up to two weeks.
This homemade granola goes perfectly with milk, yogurt or as a topping for ice cream.
