That it was the turn of another sports brand to try his luck in a niche sports apps for runners: the company Puma has released a mobile application Pumatrac. If you sympathize with cross-country application by Nike and getting excited, earning badges and receiving awards, Pumatrac you enjoy. ;)
Customize. The first impression - nice minimalistic design. You download and launch the app, login via Facebook, Twitter, Vkontakte, or create a new profile through the mail. Go to your profile, choose gender, specify your height and weight, upload photos (profile and background images). That's all, now you can run.
This is how the data will look like on your jog.
Statistics and Research. The app keeps track of your stats and displays it on the basis of your personal rules (Insights). For example, it can tell you that the best results you get on Fridays and Tuesdays, but on Saturday to run harder. However, I have not seen this in my own experience (it is difficult to draw conclusions on the basis of a single run), so that the creators believe in the word, and then another, and check it out. The remaining statistics pretty standard, as in many cross-country applications.
Routes. In the appendix there is a map with the routes, which is in the Explore section (defined by your position and there is a search for routes in the area), and a filter for their duration.
Beiji. While running the app has you points and issues related badges: the fastest, longest, and the other "most-most" jogging; There treadmill rating, which takes into account all the users who use Pumatrac; and, of course, encourages you cheerful voice when you beat their old records, or sometimes just cheers.
Music. Music can be configured by selecting your favorite albums or playlists from the iTunes Music or Spotify Music.
Online store. In Pumatrac has its own online store, where you can buy, if not, then at least look at and learn about new goods company Puma. And if you want to buy something like this, then the application will show the offline stores in your area with the address, website, and work time. Moreover, it will help you get directions to the selected store, just be prepared for the fact that it may be in a neighboring city or even country. Order products directly from the mobile app will not work.
We should also note the complete absence of training plans and the ability to track heart rate, ie the application is hardly suitable for people who have decided to seriously prepare for a marathon or just starting to run, because the pursuit of new achievements and badges newcomers can overdo it and injured. Rather, this is the app for lovers of light jogging or for experienced runners who know and feel your body and which have individual gadgets to monitor your heart rate, and more statistics. If you decide to prepare with the help of mobile applications for the competition, we recommend that you use RunKeeper or miCoach.
