The Android operating system is always characterized by its openness and the ability to install applications from any source. Users are not restricted to the Google Play store and free to download and install any APK-files. While this is true, but soon things can change.
portal 9to5Google reportsThat fresh beta Advanced Protection System to protect Google Play appeared mention blocking of suspicious programs. As an example, the following code comments:
- "For added security Advanced Protection does not allow the use of applications loaded from the store Google Play»;
- "Application is blocked Advanced Protection».
Having discovered this, developers noted that Google Play can completely prevent users from installing third-party programs. Such protection can be applied to devices in which there is at least one account with Advanced Protection.
While we are talking only about the beta, so there is no reason to panic - these changes can not migrate into the final version of the store security system. However, even if this happens, the Google certainly leave the ability to install the software after scanning through the Play Protect, at your own risk.
