Valve has released Artifact - card game of Dota 2 and competitor Hearthstone

Valve studio, known as the developer of Half-Life, Team Fortress and Portal, released its first game for many years - Artifact. It is a card project in the universe Dota 2.

Players compete with each other in three separate fields - similar lines in Dota 2. The winner is the one who gets to your opponent's hand and either destroy two of the three towers, or win the character that appears after the destruction of one of the towers - Ancient.

Each player has a deck of 40 cards, five of which - the heroes. Currently available are 44 hero, allowing different strategies to come up with a fight. 35 remaining cards in the deck - it's abilities and items, divided into four categories.

Artifact is very similar to Hearthstone - a popular card game from Blizzard. The latter is important eSports discipline, so the project from Valve also has a good chance to become such.

Designer gave Richard Garfield, who created one of the most popular card games - Magic: The Gathering. Artifact is available on Steam for the price of 1 390 rubles. In 2019 it is expected to reach iOS and Android.
