IPhone 11 and 11 Pro surprise in the test for moisture protection

According to Apple, the new iPhone 11 can spend half an hour in water to a depth of two meters and survive. Pro-Model withstand the same time, but at a depth of 4 meters longer. CNET decided not to believe the manufacturer's word and made a brutal test for protection against moisture.
To this end smartphones attached to an underwater drone, plunged by 4 meters and left for 30 minutes. It was not clear how it will respond iPhone 11: after all, this is twice deeper than the stated amount. After immersing the sensor screens and smartphones to work, the camera shoots no haze, the button is pressed normally. The only drawback - a small distortion of sound in both models, and iPhone 11 was a bit quieter.
Then, the video, the authors decided to go beyond all permissible limits and sent both Apple news in the depth of 8 meters. The result is the same: it works, but the usual iPhone 11 sound for a few decibels quieter than the same smartphone that is not subjected to water torture.
Finally, the third dive was at a depth of over 12 meters. This is 6 times greater than that provided by the manufacturer for the iPhone 11, and three times deeper than the iPhone announced 11 Pro. But once again, both the smartphone was in order - except for all those same small problems with the speaker. After three days, when the device is completely dry out, this defect is almost completely gone.
The test shows that you have a fairly high chance of not spending tens of thousands on a new smartphone, if you accidentally drop your iPhone in water 11 - even at great depth. But deliberately to repeat these tests are not necessary. Also, please note that the experiment was carried out in fresh water - salt in the result could be much more pitiable.
