Researcher under the name axi0mX found in iOS a serious vulnerability. It allows you to install on the iPhone jailbreak, which will then be impossible to remove. It concerns millions of smartphones.

Vulnerability called checkm8 - she was found in the boot memory, referred to as the BootROM. With bug hackers can gain access to iOS features not available to ordinary users. Since BootROM can not record any information, Apple will not be able to fix the vulnerability with a software update.

The researcher decided to share with the public vulnerability, because it believes that because iOS will be better for everyone. Due to a bug, developers can seamlessly create a jailbreak for the latest versions of the operating system. The vulnerability is present in all devices, starting with the iPhone 4S (with the chip A5) and ending with the iPhone X (chip A11). Apple has corrected a bug in A12 processors, so the newer smartphones permanent jailbreak will not be able to deliver.
