More and more manufacturers produce gaming smartphones, but until now there was no clear definition of what devices can be attributed to this category. Google has decided to take everything into their own hands - at least within the Android ecosystem.
on XDA published new document Google Mobile Services. It lists the requirements for manufacturers of mobile devices on Android. The technique must comply with all the items to get the Google suite of applications - including shop google Play.
It is interesting that in paragraph 13.4 of this document is now listed requirements for gaming devices. To meet certification smartphone should provide applications with access to all CPU cores and protected against sudden throttling to avoid strange behavior during the game.
Also, the manufacturer is obliged to provide the device with modern API for graphics processing and display - including Vulkan 1.1 3D. Finally, the volume of RAM should be enough for a full game. The smartphone is suitable if the process is able to allocate up to 2300 MB of memory before running lowMemoryKiller and "kill" it.
