Google released Android 9 Pie. Who will be able to upgrade

Today, Google has released the first public assembly of the ninth version of the Android operating system. It was called Pie ( «Pie").

We have previously detailed told of the most significant innovations of Android P, so I will not repeat. We note only that the update is definitely worth waiting for. However, it is available yet not for all devices. Starting today receive updates over the air only to Google smartphones: Pixel 2, Pixel 2 XL, Pixel, Pixel XL.

All other gadgets can be divided into three large groups.

• In the first part of a limited number of devices that participated in the test program. For them, already in beta Android P, and in the coming days to appear and stable release.
• The second group consists of smart phones, manufacturers have officially announced plans to release Android P. Exact release dates may be different for each device, and depend only on the efficiency of manufacturers.
• In the third group we have included the latest gadgets, which fully comply with the technical requirements and, therefore, may well, in our opinion, to get an update.
