How to ease the headache of migraine

Unfortunately, at intervals several times a year I face myself with this unpleasant phenomenon. The reasons of occurrence can be different - from the lack of sleep (or too long sleep), use alcohol and excessive physical and mental activity, ending with a sharp change of weather conditions. I just am among "meteodependent" people.
To my great joy, I rarely feel strong and prolonged seizures (maximum 2-3 times a year), that truly prevent me to live and work, but when it happens, I want to shut down for a while and wake up only when this whole nightmare end. But even these few hellish hours per year enough to make me start looking for ways to deal with them.

Let's start with the standard methods of prevention, which already has to perform any self-respecting yourself and your health a person:
- Avoid stress.
- Establish and maintain sleep, to sleep in a dark and quiet place.
- Eat right and avoid foods that trigger migraine (chocolate, pastries, red wine, coffee in large quantities). Eat regularly and do not skip meals.

Ginger. Ginger also helps to cope with bad headache. And when you consider that it also is an excellent prevention of colds, it would not be superfluous to make in your diet ginger tea with apples and cinnamon.
Cayenne pepper. Mint and lavender. These herbs are also used as prevention of headaches caused by migraine.
