Why the choice of a flight, better to choose the earliest flights

Few people like to wake up in the middle of the night and go to the airport. However, in these flights has its advantages: if a flight is not long, you have in stock still remains all day, and the people at this time is usually less, so registration and passport control are faster. Now, according to a study conducted by the US Bureau of Transportation Statistics, to this list of benefits added another significant plus!
According to the above study, the delay time of the early flights tends to zero, and it happens because of the advantages, listed above - fewer people and, as a consequence, more rapid service in the registration and passport control. Were collected data on more than 6 million flights in 2013, then they were divided into groups according to the time of their departure, and then analyzed the average delay time.
The result: a perfect time to select a morning flight - 6–7:00 am, flight delay at this time is 6–8 minutes. Further there is a gap of 7 to 8 o'clock in the morning. And then there is a tendency of increasing flight delays by the hour, which removes us from morning marks the perfect time. The average delay time - 20 minutes.
Flights to 10 pm and later also passed virtually without delay, but to fly at night is still heavier than the early morning. The increase in delay time is explained very simply - increasing load on the system, then there are more people, more likely delays.
For example, do not need to go far. Two weeks ago, we returned from Greece on a charter flight to Moscow Domodedovo (as it happens, and the choice we just did not have). The plane arrived at one o'clock, and the next flight to Kiev was at 17:45. The fact that charter flights are often delayed, no longer a secret, but what happened at the passport control, has exceeded all our expectations. We understood that during the holiday season began, and queues are inevitable, but the number of people and the speed of advance stage struck. In order to pass the passport control upon arrival, we stood in line for more than two hours! And all this time around crowded and abused people hysterically screaming and crying kids (and I understand them - hours of hell in a stuffy room for young children after an early rise of 5–6 a.m).
When we finally passed passport control, we waited for the next trial, but not on a charter and scheduled flight to Kiev. And it's not that wanting a lot, even though the plane was filled to 100%, and that we had to stand in line for 40 minutes just to get to the passport control zone! And then we are still the same number stood in line to the window. About the turn before frame I generally keep quiet. As we stood in all these lines, literally every 5 minutes running around the airport workers and shouting: "Who xxxx for a flight to Antalya, Athens, Munich... !!! "- and so on and so forth, with a list of cities from all over world. We had the last bus to the plane, which dropped into guys with belts in the hands, pants adheres to they did not fall, that is, they are clearly pulled out of the queue to passport control and hastily conducted through the metal detectors. As a result, the plane was delayed for 30 minutes, and, as I understand it, that we were lucky.
Conclusion: if you want to fly without delays and problems - as far as possible choose the right airport and early flights!
