Modern approaches to teaching history at school pose a number of new challenges for teachers. And although textbooks on this subject are rich in information, often the central meanings of processes and phenomena, cause-and-effect relationships seem to be insufficiently identified.
The presence of parallel courses on general and national history creates additional difficulties in matters of synchronizing processes and identifying common historical patterns. Particularly difficult are issues such as independent selection of sources and methods of working with them.
Preparation for the Unified State Exam requires students not only to thoroughly master the details of historical processes, but also to memorize many specific terms, orientation in matters of localization in time and space, but also sufficiently developed skills and abilities to analyze scientific literature and specific historical source.

Certification
The final certification is aimed at students developing a lesson plan for any of the considered sections of history using educational technologies proposed in the program. It takes the form of preparing such an outline plan and its subsequent defense (individual project).
The final certification work is of a practical nature (reflects the use of knowledge and skills acquired during the development of the program in professional activities). The work material can be illustrated by a presentation, diagram or schematic drawing attached to the final work.
Requirements for certification work: practical nature, independence of implementation, accessibility and relevance for teaching at school, scientific reliability of the included information and concepts.
