Who will benefit from this course?
This course will be useful to specialists from the centers of the agrochemical service of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation, specialists in agricultural and soil monitoring, GIS specialists, and also to all listeners interested in issues of soil science, agrochemistry, ecology and interested in solving problems of agricultural production.
What will you learn?
During the course, students acquire the necessary systematized theoretical knowledge and practical skills in the complex analysis of spatial attributive data in soil science, agrochemistry and ecology, master the basic methods of designing models and infrastructures of information systems, organizing distributed calculations. This course will help students develop the ability to analyze multi-temporal, multi-scale data obtained from various sources using methods and information technologies, used in data mining, as well as formulate schemes for practical solutions in the field of agricultural and soil monitoring and develop information structures for their execution.
In what format are classes held?
The lecture part precedes the practical classes. During the learning process, handouts on electronic media are used (lecture material in the form presentations, educational materials on the educational program being studied, reference materials and etc.); materials available on the Internet; educational databases, soil maps, essays, source data forms; operating and training sites and technological cycles of agrochemical centers. The final certification is carried out in the form of a project defense.
