The advanced training program “Concrete Pedagogy” is aimed at forming an indicative basis for pedagogical activity.

In the system of advanced training, it performs the function of correlating teaching practice and the system of theoretical ideas about the pedagogical process, for which the support is used to the most specific forms of presentation of theoretical material (expressed in specific data, experiments, observations, etc.), present mainly in primary sources.

Implementing the requirement of fundamental training adopted at Moscow State University, the course is aimed at the ability to constantly correlate abstract ideas and concepts with the practice of everyday teaching activities, its planning, design, reflection, development and etc.

The “Concrete Pedagogy” course is designed to develop this skill.

Students acquire an initial orientation in both classical and modern concepts of training and development, and their application in teaching activities.

They master the skills of working with psychological and pedagogical literature, critically analyzing the positions of authors of different eras in order to extract practically useful experience from them.

The discursive nature of the discussion presupposes the development, on its basis, of critical thinking skills in the form of “dialogue with oneself,” which is an interiorized form of discussion.

In the future, this knowledge and skills can be used for a wider and more effective use of pedagogical knowledge, abilities, skills, and competencies.
