The purpose of the implementation of an additional professional development program “Modern aspects of identification and detection of falsification of food and non-food products" is to provide students with modern additional professional knowledge, abilities and skills, professional competencies in the field identification and detection of counterfeit goods, as well as updating the knowledge and competencies of specialists focused on activities in the field of examination, assessment and product management at enterprises and public sector organizations, trade organizations, expert organizations and commercial structures, educational organizations.
During your training you will be able to learn:
- Basic concepts: identification, authenticity, falsification, counterfeit and counterfeit products. The relationship between identification and falsification of products.
- Goals and objectives of product identification. Identification principles. Subjects of identification activities. Means of identification. Regulatory and technical documents for identification purposes. Identification functions of packaging and labeling of goods. Types of identification depending on the determined characteristics of the goods: assortment, qualitative (qualimetric), quantitative, batch, complex. Brief description of individual types of identification. Indicators and identification criteria: organoleptic, physico-chemical; their applicability, reliability, accessibility in different identification conditions. Procedure and rules for conducting identification examination.
- Measures to protect the Russian food market from counterfeit foreign-made goods. Types of falsification depending on the changing characteristics of the product: assortment, quality, quantity, information. Types of falsification of food products depending on the place of its implementation: technological, pre-sales.
- The concept of counterfeit food products. Trademarks and appellations of origin of goods as objects of intellectual property. Legal protection of trademarks and appellations of origin of goods. Legal and regulatory framework for preventing falsification and production of counterfeit products.
