Many times I've heard that after switching on the Mac, many people start to look for an alternative to Finder, explaining that standard file manager nonfunctional, uncomfortable and in general, better than the usual Total Commander nothing invented.
I can not figure out what else is required from the file manager and I, like many, the Finder functionality lacking in full. But if you think of the Evangelicals "Explorer" and Total Commander, then this article is for you. In it, we describe how to set up and change the arrangement of icons in the Finder toolbar.
Finder toolbar is configured in the same way as in any other application. You need to right click (or double tapom to tap the touchpad) on the panel and in the window that opens, select "Customize Toolbar."
After that, we get into the usual settings window. Here you can change the layout, delete unnecessary or add the necessary icons. Moreover, if you happen to overdo it and want to return the panel to the standard form, only need to drag the default set, which is at the bottom.
In the toolbar, you can also add a file, folder, or any application. You need to hold down the Command key and click on the desired object. Then drag it to the toolbar and release.
