Assessment and training of IT specialists in key areas of software development. Courses from expert practitioners in programming languages, system and business analysis, software architecture, manual and automated software testing, Big Data and machine learning, project management and Agile. 1. Introduction to Data Analysis and Business Intelligence. Basics of statistics (theory – 1 hour).
2. Installing Tableau Desktop / Tableau Public: version differences, licensing, infrastructure overview (practice - 0.5 hours).
3. Connecting to data sources (files, DBMS, etc.), their types and limitations. Working with Live connection and Data Extracts (theory – 0.5 hours, practice – 0.5 hours).
4. Preparing data for analysis, assessing data quality. Data granularity (theory – 0.5 hours, practice – 0.5 hours).
5. Basic terms of Tableau Desktop - workbooks, sheets, workspaces, diagrams, dashboards, stories (theory - 0.5 hours, practice - 0.5 hours).
6. Tableau Desktop interface for an analyst - measures, dimensions, aggregations, data types, changing the data type and default settings for fields (theory - 0.5 hours, practice - 0.5 hours).
7. Create basic graphs and charts. The main scenarios for their use (theory – 0.5 hours, practice – 2 hours):
8. Pre-installed and custom calculations (practice – 1.5 hours).
9. Data organization and advanced analytical capabilities - histograms, plotting trend lines, reference lines (practice - 1.5 hours).
10. Filters. Types of filters. Hierarchy of performing operations in Tableau (practice – 1 hour).
11. Basic information design. Creation of dashboards. Interactivity (theory – 0.5 hours, practice – 2.5 hours).
12. Possibility of exporting data to PPT, PDF, Excel files - preparing a dashboard for correct data upload. Setting up subscriptions and custom views (theory – 1 hour).
Total: theory 5 hours (~ 30%), practice 11 hours (~ 70%).

The course is devoted to the study of the knowledge area “Clarification and interaction” BABOK Guide 3.0. The course examines the tasks of identifying and collecting a variety of information necessary to conduct business analysis, documenting it and discussing it with stakeholders persons. The course also discusses issues of interaction with stakeholders at all stages of identifying and collecting information. The course is taught by practitioners with extensive experience in performing business analysis in various projects.
