Media School is a program of additional pre-university education of the Faculty of Journalism of Moscow State University, within the framework of which high school students receive practical professional skills.

The media school accepts students in grades 7-10 for full-time education.
In the 11th grade, students and graduates of the media school can enroll in preparatory courses at the Faculty of Journalism - in addition to or continuation of the mastered program.
The main goal of the Media School is to introduce future journalists and bloggers to the profession, to give them the opportunity to acquire first practical skills, meet experienced teachers in the field of media, find new friends and like-minded people.
Media School students receive basic knowledge in the field of media, and also take direct part in the creation of various media projects: from a social media account to a podcast.
Teachers, graduate students and senior students of the Faculty of Journalism conduct classes and supervise the preparation of projects.
Duration of training
Duration of training - from 1 to 5 years at the choice of the student.
Learning process
During the training process, students attend lectures on the course “Introduction to Modern Media,” and also work in interest groups and take part in the preparation of a media project (“Media Production”).
Training is based on a university (semester) scheme, Payment is made by semester:
Autumn semester: October 7 – January 31.
Spring semester: February 7 – May 31.
Students who successfully complete the program receive a certificate from the Faculty of Journalism of Moscow State University named after M. IN. Lomonosov about graduating from the Media School.
Form of study
Classes are held face-to-face. Full-time classes are held at the Faculty of Journalism.
Admission
The selection of students for the Media School is carried out on a competitive basis based on the introductory works sent by applicants.
The media school is designed for students in grades 9-10 who are interested in the profession of journalist.
During the training process, students study in professional studios and work on creating media projects in various areas of journalism under the guidance of teachers, graduate students and students faculty.
Education at the Media School is career-oriented and does not include lectures on general education subjects.
