Purpose of the program: retraining of persons engaged in tourist and excursion activities to develop their theoretical, methodological and practical competence.

The Faculty of Geography trains specialists in the field of tourism and excursion activities, based on educational standard for higher professional education developed at M.V. Lomonosov Moscow State University in the field of "Tourism".

Program objectives:

• give an idea of ​​the place of excursion activities in the tourism industry;
• introduce the features of developing and conducting city excursions;
• reveal specific features of organizing and conducting bus excursions;
• introduce the main excursion sites of urban and suburban space;
• reveal the methodology for displaying cultural, historical and religious buildings;
• reveal the role of literary excursions in the education and aesthetic perception of Moscow as a cultural capital;
• introduce the main technological stages of preparing and conducting excursions.

As a result of training, the following competencies necessary for professional activities are formed:

- the ability to use knowledge about natural, cultural, historical, religious and literary objects and displays in organizing tourist and excursion activities;

- the ability to search, summarize and systematize information for the development and conduct of excursions, setting goals for excursions, choosing the best ways and methods to achieve them;
