Honorary titles and awards
Four times awarded the “Crystal Crane” prize based on the results of voting by students of the Faculty of Economics of St. Petersburg State University in 2008, 2014, 2015, 2016.
The first module reveals the essence of management and the specifics of a manager’s activities, and analyzes the difference between the roles of a manager and an entrepreneur. Based on the balanced scorecard system, four main management functions are identified and the main stages of the management process are analyzed in detail:
In the second module, based on elements of PEST analysis, the types of power and the corresponding roles of businessmen are systematized, and their dynamics during the life cycle of the company are shown. The relationship between the categories “enterprise”, “organization”, “firm” is analyzed, and the importance of the process of corporatization of management is emphasized.
In the third module, based on the typologies of G. Hofstede, R. Lewis and F. Trompenaars formed a unified classification of national business cultures, identified Russia’s “neighbors” in culture, among which were southern European and Asian countries. The introduction into consideration of the four roles of a businessman made it possible to create a unified typology of business culture for the macro and micro levels of the economy.
Module four shows the relationship between culture type and the phase of the firm's life cycle. As a result, within the framework of a unified approach, it was possible to consider the theories of the life cycle of L. Greiner, I.P. Boyko and I.K. Adizes. The model of the internal environment of a company described in the module in the form of a PEST atom allows you to form an evolutionary idea of the company and present in detail the specifics of each phase of its life cycle.
In the fifth module, the author divided the well-known eight roles of the management team by the famous English psychologist R.M. Belbin by two coordinates: 1).by PEST elements and 2). into strategic and operational. Practical recommendations for forming and improving the management team are given.
