The star of the film “Alien: Romulus” revealed details about the plot

The new film in the Alien franchise, subtitled Romulus, will tell about the events that occurred between the films Alien by Ridley Scott and Aliens by James Cameron. About it reported Cailee Spaeny, who has one of the main roles.

The actress added that the same people who created the xenomorphs for the first films also worked on the new monsters. “So to see the original design from the same people who worked on these films some 45 years ago was really incredible.”

Ridley Scott's original 1979 sci-fi film ended with Sigourney Weaver's Ellen Ripley throws the xenomorph out of his escape pod and puts himself into cryogenic sleep for the long journey back to humanity civilization. Seven years later, James Cameron continued the story in Aliens, where Ripley accompanied a military mission to investigate a potential xenomorph attack on a vast space colony. Perhaps the new film will tell exactly about the events before Ripley's arrival.

Filming on Alien: Romulus wrapped in July. Earlier, Ridley Scott himself, who had already seen a preliminary version of the film, called it “damn cool».

The premiere of "Romulus" is scheduled for August 16, 2024. Development is also underway in parallel TV series based on the Alien franchise.
