7 cult Asian horror films will be shown on the big screen in Russia

At the presentation of the distributor “Kinologistika” as part of the film market “Russian Film Business” announced rental of 7 Asian horror films in Russian cinemas. These are not new films, but they have not been shown in Russia before.

South Korea:

• “Army of the Dead in Busan” (The Cursed: Dead Man’s Prey, 2021) is the story of serial murders committed by the risen dead who are able to speak.
• “The Closet” (2020) - when the hero’s daughter disappears after moving to a new house, a strange man comes to him and advises him to look for her in the closet.
• "The Guests" (The Piper, 2015) - the film is inspired by the story of the Pied Piper of Hamelin. In the story, the spirit of the rat catcher haunts people who managed to escape punishment for a crime and punishes them by taking their children.
• “The Housemaid” (2010) is an erotic psychological thriller in which the betrayal of the head of a family with a maid leads to dire consequences.

Indonesia:

• A Woman's Hell (Impetigore, 2019) is an Indonesian horror film in which a woman goes to her ancestral village to collect an inheritance and ends up discovering a disturbing truth about her past.

• “Satan’s Slaves” (2017) - a film from the same director as “A Woman’s Hell”, tells the story of a mother who, after dying from a mysterious illness, returns for her children.
• “Death Whisper” (2019) - after students at a prestigious high school force the main character to perform an occult ritual, all his offenders begin to die mysterious deaths.

Release dates have not been specified, and it is also unknown whether these films will be shown dubbed in Russian or in the original with subtitles.
