The course provides an understanding of the basic concepts of plant physiology, advances in this field of knowledge and the practical application of this knowledge by humans. We will learn how a plant converts light energy and uses carbon dioxide to synthesize organic substances, about the diversity of respiratory pathways characteristic of photosynthetic organisms, about environmental adaptations in various groups of plants, about what minerals substances are necessary for a plant to fully grow and develop, and finally, let’s open the door to the world of regulatory processes in plants body. We will learn about plant hormones, their interaction with each other and their influence on morphogenesis, and also that plants need light not only for photosynthesis. Overall, this course will provide a deeper understanding of the life of a green plant and will explain why people use certain techniques for growing plants.
