Some are trash, some are treasure: 15 photos of cool finds from landfills and streets

In the community DumpsterDiving On Reddit, users share incredible finds from landfills and trash cans. Sometimes completely new things or expensive equipment that can be repaired in a few minutes end up on the street. We have collected striking examples of such luck.

1. The furniture store threw away this bed after returning it from a customer. The first owner did not even try to assemble it (possibly because the kit did not include instructions or accessories).

2. This is just part of what the author found over two summers: a 70-inch television, a Nintendo 3DS, furniture and many machines for mowing the lawn and removing snow - one of which didn’t even have a price tag removed.

3. The author works at a junkyard and finds 5-10 guitars a month - usually cheap and broken, but this rather expensive Aria Pro II bass surprised even him.

4. After the store closed, dozens of display samples of equipment ended up in the trash.

5. The school administration allowed the author of the photo to look at the equipment that they wanted to send to the landfill after inventory. There was a 24-inch iMac from 2008 in almost perfect condition.

6. These are also victims of school inventory. The claw and tooth on top are dummies, and everything else is genuine fossils.

10. They got rid of this coffee machine, although it just needed to replace the water pump - the price was 20 dollars.

11. Hello from the past. A general cleaning was required, but then the author did not get out of “Mario” and “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles” all evening.

12. A gaming chair in perfect condition was just sitting in the trash heap - and the author’s wife just needed a new one for her office.

13. Someone threw away this late 50's bike. Replace the saddle, clean it - and it will be as good as new.

14. Brand new sewing machine in box. The packaging said it was damaged, but it turned out to be fully functional.

15. A vintage armchair from the 60s that was lucky enough to get a second life.
