Defect management - course 9500 rub. from IBS Training Center, training 8 hours, Date November 26, 2023.
Miscellaneous / / December 04, 2023
The course is intended for members of project teams, since defect management activities affect each of the participants in software development, regardless of role and expertise.
The course covers defect definitions related to the fundamental concepts of verification and validation. The criteria for quality requirements are formulated and the difficulties of achieving them are illustrated using a simple example. A classification of defects according to the place of their occurrence is proposed - at the stage of registration of technical specifications, during the formation requirements specifications, when change requests occur, in architecture, in code, in test scenarios. The internal and external causes of such defects are considered.
An example of the spread (reproduction) of defects caused by their untimely detection and correction is considered.
The tasks of defect management, in particular risk-based, are listed, illustrated with a large number of examples. Approaches to constructing various classifications of defects are proposed.
The classification of testing types is analyzed both according to the Rational Unified Process methodology and by prevalence based on the experience of Luxoft project work. The specifics of documentation defects are discussed separately.
Examples of various life cycles (LC) of defects are given, the areas of their application are analyzed depending on the specifics of the project. The purpose and proper use of the defect database are explored. Recommendations for describing a defect are listed and illustrated, minimizing additional labor costs to clarify the description and how to reproduce the defect.
The course material is supported by a large number of examples and tasks. At the end of the course, questions are asked to reinforce the material presented.
