Purpose of the program – increasing the effectiveness of listeners’ oratory and improving the means and methods of polemics (argument, debate and discussion).

During the course, students will learn the latest techniques for effective communication with an audience in the form of a monologue (public speaking) and dialogue, methods of persuasion and argumentation.

Studying on the program will increase the level of knowledge about effective speech communication, different types of audiences, theory argumentation, logical and rhetorical techniques for constructing a public speech, eristics (the art of conducting disputes).

Listeners will be able to “pump up” their skills in public speaking, justifying their own position in a dispute, recognizing and neutralizing the techniques of “black polemics.” Students test various methods of text analysis, public speaking, and arguing (including nonverbal communication).
