“Public Speaking Mastery” - course RUB 12,800. from MSU, training 8 weeks. (2 months), Date: November 30, 2023.

The “Mastery of Public Speaking” program, prepared by teachers of the Department of International Communication of the Faculty of World Politics of Moscow State University, is designed to introduce listeners with the basic techniques of speaker training, communication strategies and tactics, with rhetorical norms of public speaking, as well as acquire the skill of improvised speech.

During the training process, students will practice the following skills:

• preparing a public speech on a given topic;
• formation of one’s own image when preparing a speech and its practical implementation;
• establishing contact with the audience and controlling the attention of listeners;
• the use of verbal and non-verbal techniques to effectively influence the audience;
• responding to audience questions;
• practicing the skills of self-critical assessment of your performance.

Public speaking is one of the most important skills needed to be successful. Possession of specific information is, of course, mandatory, but not a sufficient condition for successful presentation. You need to know how to present the material and structure it, how to respond to questions from listeners and cope with anxiety. Mastering such skills will make the presentation not only interesting and understandable, but also bright and memorable.

Upon completion of the program, students will be able to:

• use different types of argumentation;
• control your behavior during a performance (control of facial expressions, gestures, visual contract with the audience);
• use various communication strategies during the speaking process;
• apply improvisation techniques in practice.

This program will be useful for both students and graduates in any field, as well as anyone who wants to increase their competitive advantage and gain a valuable tool for building careers.

Duration - 32 academic hours (classroom - 16 academic hours).
