You will receive all the necessary Middle competencies: design, security, troubleshooting, etc. What's left for you is gain experience and decide on a development trajectory: along the path of a designer or a Senior specialist/team lead of a network team engineers.
The course is focused on:
— Routing and switching specialists working in small or medium-sized companies and seeking larger and larger projects;
— Specialists of large companies who want to gain a deeper understanding of their work and take on more complex tasks.
— System administrators who want to add networking skills to their competencies.
OTUS is a certified Cisco Networking Academy
The course partner, Cisco Networking Academy at RTU MIREA, provides an online laboratory for practice. It includes Cisco 1921, Cisco 2801, Cisco 2811 routers; Cisco 2950, Cisco 2960 switches.
At the beginning of your training, you will be enrolled in the Cisco Academy, and upon completion of the program you will receive 3 CCNA academic certificates:
Introduction to Networks
Switching, Routing, and Wireless Essentials
Enterprise Networking, Security, and Automation.
After successfully passing the tests at the Cisco CCNA network academy, you can take the certification exam for the international CCNA certificate at Pearson VUE testing centers with a discount of 50 to 65%. Additionally, you will receive an OTUS certificate for completing the course.
You will also have access to the CCNP Enterprise: Core Networking course and will be able to take tests and receive qualifying scores.
Course Features
- Current theory in accordance with the requirements of the labor market. The first module will prepare you for CCNA certification, and then you will delve deeper into the solutions that companies use in practice. Here, in contrast to standard Cisco academy programs, a significant part of the time is devoted to the BGP, OSPF, IS-IS and VPN protocols - popular technologies that are now used in projects. In doing so, you will receive the necessary training to pass the CCNA industry certification.
- Practice on real equipment from Cisco systems. Troubleshooting awaits you on 80% of the course topics. You will solve various problems on a pre-prepared virtual stand, find the root causes of problems depending on the protocol, and repair breakdowns. At the end, the final work awaits you - designing and configuring your network.
After training you will be able to:
Solve problems related to the operation of the BGP protocol and organize work taking into account the most complex requirements
Organize work using the OSPF, IS-IS, EIGRP protocols and find problems in their operation
Build VPN virtual private channels, in particular DMVPN.
Secure VPNs using the IPSec protocol stack
Troubleshoot network infrastructure
Ensure overall security of the network infrastructure using built-in capabilities in network equipment
Distribute IPv4 and IPv6 address space to optimize equipment operation and find network problems
Configure static and dynamic VPN tunnels with IPSec protection
Work with static routing through policies
Work with IGP protocol metrics for flexible routing configuration in local networks
