As part of the “Moscow Longevity” project, since 2020, the Faculty of Philosophy of Moscow State University has been holding a series of lectures “Philosophers on the Eternal and the Present” for active older Muscovites.
Digitalization, changing the role of religion, information wars, advertising and disinformation, technologies for transforming the human body, “strange” art are the most important trends in modern society.
Is there room in this world for eternal values? Does a person change or essentially remain the same? What connects generations? The work of our club will be devoted to answering these questions.
To register for the course, you need to contact the social security center and ask to be enrolled in the “Moscow State University Discussion Club” group of the “Moscow Longevity” project (indicate group number G-02058762).
Classes will be held (from 16.40 to 18.40) in the Shuvalovsky building of Moscow State University (Lomonosovsky Prospekt, 27, building 4, room. AT 2).
There is a pass system in the university buildings (passage for participants of the Moscow Longevity project is carried out using a Muscovite social card)
As part of the project, an additional course has been opened aimed at revealing the features of modern and classical art.

The program is aimed at citizens living in Moscow and who have reached the age of 60 years for men, 55 years for women, and also for persons who are recipients of an early old-age insurance pension or a long-service pension, regardless of their age.
The spring series of lectures “Philosophers on the Eternal and the Present” will be devoted to eternal philosophical topics: happiness, the meaning of life, morality, the essence of man and his place in the world. Participants in the program will be able, with the help of professional scientists and teachers, to become more familiar with the ideas of the great thinkers of the past, to enter into dialogue with experts on topical topics and formulate your own answers to age-old philosophical questions concerning modern society.
