Miscellaneous / / December 02, 2023
Let's get acquainted with the topic of the lesson
- The teacher explains what topic the student will work with in class
We solve problems
- We train mathematics skills using program problems and teach how to apply knowledge in life
Let's find out homework
- The tutor explains which tasks you need to solve yourself before the next lesson
Let's teach you to love mathematics
We believe that every child can find interest in a subject.
Let's develop independent work skills
During the lessons, the student will learn to understand and quickly solve problems in mathematics.
We'll show you how to understand, not memorize
Our students do not cram, but understand complex topics with the help of a teacher.
Bachelor and Master of Moscow State Pedagogical University, Master of MIREA. Teaching experience - 10 years
My favorite book is Harry Potter, and I am Professor McGonagall in it. I’ll teach you how to bottle actions with numbers, how to cook a problem using a formula, and even how to seal the root of an equation. But as long as you ask questions and do your homework!
She has been teaching mathematics for 5 years. Shows the subject from a new side
My signature learning method is through association: the rule of inheritance for rounding numbers, the rule of friendship for numbers with different signs, and much more. In my free time I play chess and volleyball
She has been teaching mathematics for 2 years. Was a volunteer teacher in a charity project
I always try to find a common language with students and gain their trust, I am in touch 24/7. In my free time I study English and German, I like to read, mainly English classics
1. Primary School
At the beginning of the primary school mathematics course, children will learn numbers together with the teacher. First they will learn to count to one hundred, then the teacher will tell them how to count tens and thousands. At the same time, students will master simple calculations. First, the program will introduce them to addition and subtraction of numbers, then children will learn to solve examples with two-digit numbers. From 3rd grade, students will become familiar with multiplication and division, incl. with the remainder. By the end of the 4th grade course, children will already learn to write, add, subtract, divide and multiply two-digit and three-digit numbers.
During the mathematics course, the teacher will tell the children what geometric shapes are. With its help, schoolchildren will learn to distinguish between a rectangle, a square, a triangle and a circle. Then students will try to solve the first geometric problems: finding the perimeter or sides of a figure.
Another key topic from the Years 1-4 curriculum is units of measurement. In lessons, schoolchildren become familiar with measures of length, mass and time. Namely:
millimeters;
centimeters;
decimeters;
meters;
kilometers;
grams;
kilograms;
seconds;
minutes;
for hours, etc.
The materials and theory that await elementary school students in the online mathematics course for children will teach them how to convert one unit of measurement to another. And at the end of the training for fourth graders, they will learn more about measures of area: square centimeters, meters, etc. This knowledge will help schoolchildren solve word problems in mathematics and geometry.
Also during the course, elementary school students will become familiar with simple equations and learn how to solve them.
2. high school
In the course for grades 5–9, students will become familiar with one of the main topics in middle school mathematics—fractions. The teacher will help them understand what ordinary and mixed fractions are and how to perform operations with them. Schoolchildren will learn to reduce fractions to the same denominator, compare, subtract, add, divide and multiply them. After this, children and teenagers will learn about decimals and their properties.
In individual geometry lessons, secondary school students will continue to study what they started in the 4th grade and get acquainted with new topics. The teacher will tell them:
what three-dimensional figures exist and how they differ;
how to calculate the volume of a figure;
how to prove the equality of two figures on a plane;
how to find the angles of figures, what angles there are;
what properties do the figures have?
what is bisector, median, height and midline;
what are circles inscribed in a figure and described around a figure;
what is sine and cosine, and much more.
The student will be able to consolidate his skills through tasks and fun homework, which we have supplemented the education program with.
In middle school, students in the mathematics course for children and adolescents will continue to work with equations, which they began in previous grades. Together with the teacher, they will study linear equations with 1 and 2 unknowns and learn to solve them graphically. After this, the teacher will introduce them to systems of linear equations and quadratic equations. By the end of the 9th grade courses, students will learn to graph functions of linear equations.
3. High school
The high school program covers a small amount of new topics and repetition of materials from previous grades to prepare students for the Unified State Exam.
During the classes, teenagers will learn the basics of trigonometry. The tutor will tell them what sine, cosine, tangent and cotangent are, and help them understand the basic trigonometric identity. After this, students will learn to solve trigonometric equations, and the teacher will explain how to remember reduction formulas without memorizing them.
Next, students in the mathematics course for children and adolescents will continue to study functions. In high school, they learn how to graph functions with sines, cosines, tangents, and cotangents. During the classes, the teacher will tell you how to determine the periodicity and monotonicity of these functions, as well as find the extrema, the largest and smallest values of the functions.
Another major topic in high school is stereometry. During the lessons, students in grades 10 and 11 will learn to work with new three-dimensional figures and solve problems related to straight lines, angles and planes in space. The teacher will tell them about parallel and perpendicular lines, planes and angles between them, and will help them understand the signs and theorems on this topic.
The course is aimed at developing spatial thinking, logic, fine motor skills and imagination in children. It is a propaedeutic for the geometry course. The main activity of the course is research. In each topic, there is a movement from practice to theory, with children independently discovering knowledge. For younger schoolchildren, the most effective way of learning is independent discovery through practical activities. Therefore, in almost every lesson we will use colored paper and cardboard, pencils and rulers, we will draw, sketch, cut and glue.
