Practice working in such genres as still life, portrait, figure in the interior, landscape.
An important role in studying this module is to become familiar with various painting techniques in practice. Using the example of masters' works, students will create their own works from life and imagination using various materials and work on various surfaces, such both traditional (paper, watercolor, canvas, oil) and modern (imitation of the wall surface on cardboard and acrylic, using a stencil to create graffiti and other objects street art).
In the process of working on the tasks of this module, great attention will be paid to the development of existing skills and knowledge in the field of drawing from life and solving more complex educational problems in such genres as still life, portrait, landscape, interior.
The use of sketches and drawings made from life to create images from the imagination is inextricably linked with the genre of illustration. Students will have the opportunity to explore and complete various tasks related to the creation of a series of illustrations on a given and free theme (2D and 3D), with calligraphy techniques, as well as various composition tasks leaf.
The ability to “translate” drawn images into printmaking. Students will have the opportunity not only to become familiar with various printing techniques (theoretically and practically), but and create a series of graphic sheets on a given and free topic using various materials and printing techniques.
Theory and history of art are always inextricably linked with practical tasks that students perform in the studio. In addition, the course includes visiting exhibitions and museums and sketching the works of masters. This traditional method makes it possible not just to copy someone’s style, but to analyze the compositional and plastic solutions that the master worked on.
Photographer is a very interesting, creative profession that has gained new breath with the development of social networks and new media. In our classes we will learn how to shoot not only with professional cameras, but also how to take cool photos with a smartphone. We will be inspired by the works of famous photographers, take photo quests and analyze the participants’ work in class. We will look for new ideas for artistic filming and bring them to life!
