Google Contacts Sync with iOS via the CardDAV protocol

Google introduced a new way to sync Google contacts with your iOS device.

This synchronization method is now available thanks to the inclusion of support open protocol CardDAV third-party applications, one of which in this case is a native iOS app Contacts. Although at the moment already there are many ways Google contact synchronization settings on iOS devices, including through The Exchange, plus the decision, as in the case to Exchange, is also no need to install additional applications.

Turn-based sync Google contacts with setup iOS:

1. Open the «Settings» on your device
2. Select the «Mail, Contacts, Calendars» -> «Add Account ...» -> «Other» -> «Add CardDAV Account»
3. Fill in the «Server: google.com», «User Name: the full address of the account Google», «Password: password account Google», «Description: some account description."
4. Click «Next» to the top of the screen
5. Make sure that the «Contacts» option is enabled

After setting the synchronization will start automatically.
