The program introduces students to the main issues of history and cultural history of the Turkic peoples of Central Asia.
Students must master the main content of theoretical sections on history and the cultural history of the peoples of Central Asia, learn to identify the driving forces and patterns of the historical process, apply knowledge of the main socio-political, historical characteristics of the region under study in their educational and professional activities. Listeners will be able to study the main results of modern research in oriental studies and history in Russia, the CIS countries and beyond. abroad, know about the main achievements of modern historical science in relation to Islamic culture and its influence on the Central Asia.
The program is open to students, undergraduates, graduate students of universities, as well as adult students who show interest in the history and culture of the Turkic peoples of Central Asia.

The program introduces students to the main issues of history and cultural history of the Turkic peoples of Central Asia. The course emphasizes that the early medieval common past of the region cannot be divided into the “history” of individual tribes and peoples and attributed exclusively to the past of any one specific modern Turkic-speaking people, the course also pays close attention to the fact that among the Turkic peoples there are regional, cultural and ethnic differences.
