- Types of lenses, their technical and creative differences and features.
- Promising possibilities for building a line of lenses.
- Depth of field, blur pattern, ability to change the focal plane.
Practice in a photo studio: studying and using the properties of lenses to solve various problems, shooting in various modes.
Module 3. Light and color. Frame construction. (4 ac. h.)
- The problem of correct color rendering.
- Color wheel, color models, color gamut.
- Colorful temperature. White balance and its settings in the camera.
- Lighting. Glare, reflections, lights, penumbra, own and falling shadows.
- Features and effective use of natural light.
- Three-dimensional space depicted in a plane. Perspective as a property of a photographic image. Types of perspective: linear, aerial, tonal, color.
- Key laws and rules for constructing the composition of a photo frame. Statics and dynamics. Balance and its disruption. Angle.
- Framing. Rhythm.
Practice in a photo studio: the simplest subject photography of various forms.
Module 4. Complex work. (4 ac. h.)
- The specifics of photography in an urban environment and the characteristics of individual genres.
- Setting tasks and solutions for street photography.
Practice in the city: a creative walk along a route chosen by the teacher into an artistically expressive part of the city.
- Finding the right point to photograph objects and events. Quick selection of exposure parameters. Using lighting effects and surrounding objects to create an expressive shot.
- Experiment with different modes and shooting techniques: long shutter speeds, panned shooting, zooming during exposure and other techniques.
- Demonstration of working techniques, formation and implementation of the author's creative task in the form of a master class.
- Practicing skills of teamwork on one object. Using assistants and creative support to solve personal creative problems.
- Independent creative work.
Module 5. The creative component of photography. (4 ac. h.)
- Analyzing the results of the previous lesson and working on mistakes.
- Problems of artistic expression in photography.
- A creative look at the familiar.
- Author's style and stylization.
- Plot. The idea and its implementation.
- The relationship between creative and technical parameters as the basis for improving the quality of photographs.
- Possibility of individual additional settings. Exposure compensation, options for metering, focusing, range of permissible sensitivity values, light control modes and shooting methods, built-in image processing modes.
- Construction of a photographic equipment park. Additional devices and photographic equipment options. Possibility of non-standard use of standard and additional properties of photographic equipment, as well as external devices.
- External flashes, tripods, reflectors, elements of studio equipment.
Practical work in a photo studio: a series of creative and experimental works in various genres and with various effects.
