The First Aid program developed by Moscow State University. M.V. Lomonosov together with the Russian Red Cross, involves obtaining the skills and knowledge necessary to recognize the unfortunate case, providing first aid for injuries and emergencies, providing first psychological aid before the arrival of medical personnel.
The ability to provide first aid is necessary not only at home, but also during excursions, tourist routes and expeditions. Many of them are associated with real dangers - passing through passes, rapids rivers, sudden changes in weather, attacks by wild animals. In this regard, acquiring first aid skills is especially necessary for tour guides, people involved in active tourism, employees and teachers of the field faculties of Moscow State University, as well as practitioners.
Purpose of the program - providing students with high-quality, scientifically fact-based first aid training in case of accidents during excursions, tourist routes and expeditions.
As a result of the training, students will acquire the following skills and knowledge:
- assessment of the condition, rules for moving the victim;
- basic cardiopulmonary resuscitation skills;
- algorithm of action in case of airway obstruction by a foreign body;
- skills in assisting with bleeding and shock
- classification of wounds of various origins
- first aid for head and spine injuries
- first aid for frostbite/burn
