During the course of mastering the program in accordance with the curriculum, students acquire knowledge and skills in performing work in field of engineering geological surveys in the area of ​​distribution of permafrost soils in the following directions:

• regulatory framework for engineering and geological surveys;

• features of the research methodology in the area of ​​permafrost distribution at various stages (stages) of work, depending on the designed objects and composition, condition and properties soils;

• modern methods of field and laboratory soil research;

• means of processing and presentation of engineering-geological information;

• forecast of changes in geocryological conditions

Requirements for admission: specialists with higher and secondary specialized education (geological engineers, hydrogeologists, geologists, geophysicists, geotechnicians, designers).
