Raising children - course 2990 rub. from 4brain, training 5 lessons, Date November 29, 2023.
Miscellaneous / / November 30, 2023
The definition of raising a child can be given in a broad (socio-cultural) and narrow (pedagogical) sense.
Upbringing (in a broad sense) is a mechanism for ensuring the preservation of the historical memory of a population (according to I. P. Pavlov). The socialization of the child is closely related to the concept of education, that is, the assimilation by children of the fundamentals of culture, actions, knowledge, traditions and customs approved and disapproved by other people.
This process is carried out not only by the family and school, as is commonly thought of, but by everyone state institutions: public, religious and cultural organizations, mass media information. However, the role of the family and school, where education is carried out as a purposeful action, is, of course, dominant.
Upbringing (in the narrow sense) is a set of special actions aimed at shaping the child’s personality. In a narrow sense, education is a purposeful process carried out by parents and teachers.
It is about education in the narrow sense that we will talk about in this course. After all, education is not only possible, but also necessary to learn.
Purpose of the course: to give fathers, mothers, educators and teachers a wide range of educational tools. Or in other words, “raise parents.”
The task of each lesson is to analyze various aspects of education in the most popular areas.
Lesson 1. Means, methods and problems of raising children
Of course, there is no exhaustive list of methods, nor a universal method of education. The common point necessary in raising all children without exception is love and attention, and all means are their manifestations (ideally). Raising children (at home, in kindergarten, at school) requires a person-oriented approach and a willingness to work on oneself. In accordance with the goals, the same means of education act differently. In pedagogy, the concepts of “means of education”, “methods” and “techniques” of education are used. They cannot always be distinguished, since different scientific schools are developing in parallel and the concepts are intertwined. In this lesson we tried to structure all this information.
Lesson 2. Physical and labor education
In this lesson we will talk about labor and physical education. Harmonious development involves caring for the soul and body of the student. There is a direct connection between a child's mobility and intelligence. To a greater extent, the lesson touches on the health aspects of physical education, such as posture, healthy eating and hardening. Labor education is present in one way or another in all forms of education. The ability to work (the willingness to accept and overcome difficulties) is a meta-skill necessary in all aspects of life (from communicating with other people to organizing recreation). In addition, the ability to work is a virtue, it is a means that helps overcome laziness and cynicism and allows a person to develop.
Lesson 3. Upbringing and education. Mental education
Any parent strives to raise a smart child. Everyone wants their children to be able to understand everyday phenomena, to be educated, to avoid trouble and to achieve success. But what does it mean to be smart? This means behaving in a certain way, politely - as in the cartoon: “... and no one guessed what the Rabbit was thinking, because he was very well-mannered.” Or does being smarter mean solving a problem in your head faster than everyone else in the class? How to raise your children smart and when should you start mental education? What is the connection between education and upbringing? We will learn more about this in the third lesson.
Lesson 4. Social education
The topic “personality and society” is relevant not only for poetry and psychology - it concerns everyone, especially parents and teachers. Today we are interested in the socialization of children as a necessary condition for a happy and successful life. Education is needed to be able to communicate, and society needs educated people. The word “savage” means “uncultivated,” “devoid of culture,” “out of order,” “uncultivated and meaningless.” The connection between upbringing and socialization is reflected in the law on education: “Upbringing is an activity aimed at developing personality, creating conditions for self-determination and socialization of the student... in the interests of the individual, family, society and states." Oddly enough, socialization is both an argument for and against kindergarten and school. In this lesson we will figure out how socialization works there, remember a few catchphrases and see which roles should be avoided and how.
Lesson 5. Moral, spiritual and patriotic education
One of the great scientists said that education is what remains when everything learned is forgotten. If this is true, then education in our country has almost everywhere been left to chance. Only family and rare universities, due to traditions, are engaged in purposeful character formation. The topic of education of spirituality and morality is quite paradoxical and extreme. The worst things in parenting are self-deception and hypocrisy. And the key concepts in this topic will be self-sacrifice and discipline. In this lesson you will also learn how to correctly “make” a child love his homeland, whether this is necessary at all, and what Sigmund Freud thought about morality. We will note the role of environmental and aesthetic education and try to figure out why nowhere in the Gospel Jesus Christ never condemned obvious sinners.
