Causes
Boredom arises when we find ourselves in a situation that we can not control when we are excited and our attention is scattered. In 1989, an interesting experiment was conducted. Participants were required to listen to the person entry that reads an article from Psychology Today. And finally, another real problem - is that sometimes we have to do what we really do not like. For example, the compulsory reading of a book. And while I can not define for themselves what it is so negatively affected my perception - the essence of the book or our teacher of Russian literature of the subject in school? In any case, it was assigned unpleasant sensations and memories of this book. And now every time an attempt to read it once again brings me so bored that I manage to fall asleep with a book.
And this is quite an acute problem for our education system. Pupils and students should love their schools. To this knowledge were fixed, we should enjoy the learning process. Otherwise, from this cramming through the power will not be any good, solid negativity and stress.
How to deal with boredom?
1. Since one of the conditions for the onset of boredom is the excited state, first of all we need to calm down. When we are calm, we are not so sharply react to situations that irritate us and to which we can not influence (flight delay, compulsory attendance at lectures, etc.). Therefore, we calm down, breathe deeply and slowly, and if it turns out that even arrange a little meditation. Another option - Listen to your favorite music and pleasant. 2. 3. And if you do not want your customers or employees do not fall asleep on your presentation, try to even the most boring facts and figures translate into an interesting and unusual shape, turning a boring presentation of the fascinating story. Basically he misses only when I have something to forbid him to do.
