Russian artist working in the field of contemporary art.
In her art practice, Zhanna combines art with modern philosophy. Her work addresses concepts of replication, repetition, rhythm and simulation. Graduate of Central Saint Martins College of Arts and Design in London with a Masters of Arts in Photography. Zhanna collaborates with the Tate Gallery in London, for which she was one of the developers of the educational program Reach Out. She is interested in the topic of rethinking the role and place of photography in the modern world. Actively works with new forms and materials. For example, her graduation work “My Name is Legion” is an installation of 30 porcelain figures (of a pregnant army) occupying gallery space.
