The program is designed to train wide-profile specialists in interior design and search for optimal architectural solutions for public, commercial and residential premises.
The goal of the program is the ability to creatively and technically competently transform existing buildings and spaces. Students master the principles of interaction with materials, learn to analyze the technical, functional and cultural features of spaces.
The interior design program has been running at BHSAD since 2008 and is based on many years of collaboration with the British art education system.
Professional biography:
• Currently holds a position of an Acting Program Leader.
• Teaching experience: joined BHSAD in 2015 as a Foundation PT Lecturer. In 2016 she was appointed as IAD Pathway Leader on Foundation and later in 2018 took a position on BA IAD as a Module Leader.
• From 2016-2017 held the position of a Program Leader on Orientation in Art and Design part time course, UAL, Moscow

Currently holds leadership in the Design department of Project Galley buro and specialises on public and private interiors, including residential design. Among the released projects there are “Bauman House”, “WestSide” “Art Residence” etc. Gennadiy has vast experience in dealing with corporate and private clients and a long list of collaborations with various contractors from design and construction fields. The purely architectural background informs his practice and practice in project development.

You have the opportunity to try yourself in different areas of art and design and make your choice further trajectory during the first year of study, if you have not yet decided which direction you want closer.
In the 1st year of the bachelor's degree (Foundation Year), students experiment with form and material, work on various projects, develop critical thinking and learn to solve problems assigned to them Problems. Foundation Year develops the ability to work independently and teaches you to come to an idea, rather than start with it.

• Studying
This is the first phase of the educational process, the task of which is to involve the student in the specifics of creative activity. Several structured projects offered during this part of the course provide a meaningful appreciation of the theory and practice of contemporary design. Students develop basic research skills and also learn to work with contextual information.
• Consolidation
At this stage, students make a choice in the field of design and art in which they would like to develop in further higher education programs, and begin to become more deeply acquainted with the specifics of the chosen areas.
• Preparation of the final project
In parallel with specialized modules in art and design (where teaching is conducted only in English) - the 1-year program includes disciplines taught primarily in Russian and necessary for the development of basic academic and social skills: *Systemic and critical thinking; *Teamwork and leadership; *Physical Culture and sport; *History of Russia, general history; *English (The teaching of the discipline in this course lasts throughout the year and is based on advanced international methods, taking into account the lexicological specifics of the design field. Particular attention is paid to the development of spoken language and the ability to correctly express one’s thoughts.)
2nd year bachelor's degree
Students explore spatial design, develop their creative abilities and learn to apply them to working with three-dimensional objects and spaces. They learn specialized modeling and visualization software and learn to analyze people's reactions and behavior in different environments. A significant place in the program is devoted to the development of skills in identifying existing and future trends, and the cultural studies course helps to understand professional activities in a broader cultural context.
