The latest models of Apple's laptops have a fairly long battery life. This is achieved not only through the optimization of the system (software component) with iron, but a banal function as a power-saving mode. Another thing is that this mode allows the maximum set time period only up to three hours. What if, due to some circumstances, you need to, for example, four? This problem is solved quite simply.
As you probably guessed, if this can not be done in the settings of the graphical interface of the system, it is possible to resort to work with the terminal. All we need is a simple command that must be entered into the Terminal window:
sudo pmset -a standbydelay 86400
In this case, the number of late - this time, in seconds, to which will be increased in the range of energy saving settings.
86400 seconds - 10 hours. Accordingly, after the command is entered your computer goes into sleep will take place no earlier than the allotted 10 hours.
You can also set your desired time and just putting a value in seconds instead of the number "86400".
And of course, if you want to restore the default settings, the value will need to be replaced with "86400" to "10800":
sudo pmset -a standbydelay 10800
And if you are satisfied with the designated 3:00 or you always want more? Share your opinion in the comments!
