The goal of the training is to teach you everything you need to create cartoon characters and cinematics for games: during the training you will gain skills in character modeling, animation and creating visual effects.
And after that, you will choose one direction and develop in it and improve your specific skills in real work.
Preparatory block [Blender and Zbrush]
You will become familiar with Blender and ZBrush: learn to work with geometry and light, create your first 3D models and prepare for the basic blocks.
Creation of a stylized 3D character [5 months + 1 month for design verification]
You will learn how to build an interesting and readable character silhouette and work with Zmodeller in the ZBrush program.
You will understand how the character should move when standing, walking and attacking.
You will see how to create realistic animation of screaming and running, and also how to effectively kill a character.
Creation of realistic 3D characters [4.5 months + 1 month to check the design]
Let's study the interfaces of Substance Painter, Substance Designer, Marmoset and Unreal Engine 4.
By the end of the block, you will have all the basic skills to work in these programs.
Plus you'll learn how to texture your character's skin, mouth, nails, eyebrows and eyes.
3D animation [9 months + 3 months for design verification]
You'll understand how to make clear, attractive drawings with clear poses that convey the character's personality.
Let's plan the animation of the attack and death, and also look at how women's and men's gaits differ.
By the end of the block, you will learn how to stylize movements such as jogging, jumping or rolling.
Visual effects [4 months + 2 months to check the design]
You will learn how physics works in Houdini and how to destroy geometry.
You will create assets with dust particles and smoke, and then create a fire effect.
You will also understand how to animate shot cameras, create a cluster simulation of fragments and simulate smoke using Sparse Smoke Solver.
